The laminated film consists of several layers of film. In particular, the individual layers of film are extruded, laminated and often also laminated. As these films contribute to good protection, they are often used in food technology to keep dairy and cheese products fresh, as well as countless other products.<\/p>\n
A laminated film is specified according to its intended use. For this reason, the structure of the film consists of individual layers. Depending on their composition, these are either solvent-based or solvent-free. This creates an adhesive lamination of the films. In this way, the structure of the mono films can be produced as a composite. Extrusion lamination and extrusion coating are used less frequently nowadays.<\/p>\n
The films are often provided with an imprint, for which the carrier film is particularly suitable. If the carrier film does not already have its own barrier, it can also be provided with an additional composite film barrier layer, which significantly increases the barrier properties. It is mainly embedded in the sealing film. EVOH or PE are most commonly used for this purpose.<\/p>\n
In addition, the carrier films can be provided or equipped with a lower, medium or higher barrier. If it has 2 layers, it is referred to as a duplex. However, if a film has three layers, it is called a triplex laminated film. On thermoforming machines, the laminated films are mainly used as top films and only very rarely as bottom films.
